What an awesome summer this is already turning
out to be. As usual, HMS is going to be coast
to coast with dates from Bay Roberts, NFLD all
the way out to Vancouver Island. I think the
biggest surprise for fans this summer is what
they are seeing on stage.....Johnnie, Derry,
Ray, Dave and Gary! Yes the original lineup
is back. I love to see the expressions on peoples
faces (a positive one I hope) when we walk out
and start rocking like we didn't miss a beat.
The word is getting out slowly on the re-union,
but soon I hope everyone will know. We are about
10 shows in and it is getting tighter all the
time. |

I want to say hi to all the
fans who came out to our show in London Ontario
last week. What a cool night that was. The backstage
party went on all night with the likes of Ted
Nugent, Nazereth and Deep Purple all millling
about and hanging out with us. What a thrill
it was for me to meet one of my idols in Steve
Morse, who now plays for Deep Purple. What a
nice guy and played great as always. |

Today
we start a little mini-tour in Eastern Canada.
We do 3 dates in and around Halifax and the
big Bay Roberts Festival out on 'The Rock"
on Saturday....looking forward to that. |

In other news, plans are under
way to start the next HMS studio album in the
Fall. I have been woodshedding songs for the
last year in anticipation of this and I am digging
deep to write that next "New Girl Now"!
|

|
Next week we head back to see our fans in Alberta for a couple
of shows and then out to BC for a little tour
in September.
